Hookup Culture 2020 Verbal Escalation Sweet Talking Accomplice Proof of Spirits Kiss Me In French Writer's note: Happy 4 year anniversary to Hookup Culture 2020 Pt 1 (originally released 1.17.20). This was my first ever spoken word / poetry release. It was a very vulnerable feeling for me to release this out to the world. However, I knew I had written something that wouldn't work with my classic noise pop guitar parts. Track 1, 2, and 4 was written about a girl I was seeing when I first moved back to Denver in 2019, while living on a friend's couch in a house show space called Posh House in the Santa Fe art district. I melted for her and the feeling of being together especially being my adoptive mom had just passed away two months prior to the story of track 1's poem become a part of my life. Track 3 was about a toxic relationship I was in around Spring 2019 and the rush I felt of being with someone I knew I shouldn't have been with. Glad to have matured from
